This highly efficient device ensures safe and reliable charging of single-cell lithium-ion (Li-Ion), lithium-polymer (Li-Poly), and lithium-iron-phosphate (LiFePO?? batteries. One of the key features of MAX6852AEE+ is its high accuracy, which enables precise charging control. It employs a constant current/constant voltage (CC/CV) charging algorithm, ensuring optimal battery charging. Another notable feature is its ability to support a wide range of input supply voltage (4.5V to 28V), making it versatile and suitable for various power sources. The IC component offers a programmable charge current ranging from 5mA to 1.5A, allowing flexibility in device design. It also integrates an internal power field-effect transistor (FET) that enables easy switch control, simplifying system integration. MAX6852AEE+ provides protection mechanisms to safeguard the battery and IC itself. It includes overvoltage protection (OVP), undervoltage lockout (UVLO), thermal shutdown, and reverse-leakage current protection.
