Description (v) Features
The MIC4421YN is a high speed, dual MOSFET driver IC (integrated circuit) designed to drive power MOSFETs or IGBTs (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistors) in half-bridge, full-bridge, and other high-power applications. It is commonly used in motor controls, switch mode power supplies, and automotive applications. One of the key features of the MIC4421YN is its ability to provide high peak output currents, up to 9A, while having a low propagation delay. This allows for fast switching of the MOSFETs, which in turn reduces power losses and improves overall system efficiency. The IC operates from a single power supply, typically in the range of 4.5V to 18V, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. It also includes an under-voltage lockout (UVLO) circuit, which prevents the driver from turning on when the supply voltage is below a certain threshold.
