Description (v) Features
The MIC2596-2BTS is a high-efficiency, step-down switching regulator IC component designed by Micrel Incorporated. This integrated circuit offers superior performance in terms of efficiency, accuracy, and reliability, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. One of the key features of the MIC2596-2BTS is its ability to operate with an input voltage ranging from 4.5V to 60V, while providing a regulated output voltage as low as 1.23V. This input voltage range allows the IC to handle various power sources, including automotive batteries, industrial power supplies, and other high-voltage sources. The IC employs a pulse-width modulation (PWM) control scheme to regulate the output voltage. Its built-in current mode control ensures stable operation, even with a wide range of input and output voltage variations. The precise control mechanism of the MIC2596-2BTS enables accurate regulation of the output voltage with an adjustable frequency ranging from 200kHz to 1MHz, depending on the application requirements. To improve efficiency, this IC component utilizes a synchronous rectification technique.
