The MAX17260SEWL+T is an integrated circuit (IC) component primarily used for battery fuel gauge applications. One of the notable features of the MAX17260SEWL+T is its high-quality, precision battery voltage and current measurements. It uses a patented algorithm called the ModelGauge m5 EZ fuel gauge to provide accurate state-of-charge (SOC) and capacity estimations, reducing the need for frequent battery recalibration. This algorithm is capable of compensating for variations in cell characteristics, temperature, and aging effects, ensuring precise measurements over extended periods. The IC component is designed with an ultra-low quiescent current consumption, enabling it to operate with minimal power draw, making it ideal for energy-efficient devices. It also includes a built-in hardware-based cutoff function that disconnects the battery from the load when the voltage drops below predetermined levels, preventing damage to the battery. Furthermore, the MAX17260SEWL+T supports various battery pack configurations, including single-cell Lithium-ion (Li+) or Li-polymer batteries, ensuring versatility in different applications.
