Description (v) Features
The AD8494ARMZ is a precision amplifier for thermocouple sensors, manufactured by Analog Devices Inc. It is a fully integrated solution for temperature measurement and offers several key features. Firstly, the AD8494ARMZ is designed specifically for use with K-type thermocouples, which are commonly used in industrial and scientific applications. This makes it well-suited for measuring temperatures in a wide range of environments. The IC component provides a high level of accuracy and performance, with a maximum deviation of only ±0.8°C between -25°C and 200°C. This accuracy is achieved through a combination of low offset voltage and low offset drift over temperature variations. Another key feature of the AD8494ARMZ is its wide power supply range. It can operate from a single power supply voltage of 2.7V to 5.5V, enabling compatibility with various system designs. The AD8494ARMZ also includes a built-in cold junction compensation circuit. Thermocouples generate a voltage based on the temperature difference between the hot and cold junctions, and the cold junction compensation circuit allows for accurate temperature measurements by compensating for any variations in the cold junction temperature. In terms of output, the AD8494ARMZ provides a voltage output ranging from 0.1V to 1.8V, which is proportionate to the temperature being measured. This voltage output can be easily interfaced with microcontrollers or other digital systems for further processing
