The MAX3186EAP is a high-performance, 3-wire RTD-to-Digital converter manufactured by Maxim Integrated. It is specifically designed to provide accurate temperature measurements using Resistance Temperature Detectors (RTDs). Here is an overview of its key features: 1. High Accuracy: The MAX3186EAP offers excellent high-precision temperature measurements with an accuracy of ±0.5°C within the range of -55°C to +150°C. This accuracy is achieved by using an on-chip noise filter and a 15-bit Sigma-Delta ADC. 2. RTD Interface: This IC supports 3-wire RTD connections, which allows for accurate resistance measurements. It can handle both 100Ω platinum RTDs (Pt100) and 1000Ω nickel RTDs (Ni1000). 3. Cold Junction Compensation: The MAX3186EAP provides a built-in cold junction compensation method to enable accurate temperature measurements. It uses an external temperature sensor to measure the ambient temperature, compensating for any thermal gradients at the RTD reference junction. 4. Linearization: It features an internal 16-bit linearization digital-to-analog converter (DAC) to linearize the RTD resistance-to-temperature characteristics, ensuring the temperature output is highly linear over the specified temperature range. 5. Digital Output: With an easy-to-use 3-wire SPI-compatible interface, the MAX3186EAP delivers digital temperature data output
