It is part of the 74HC series, which are widely used in various digital electronics applications. Key features of the 74HC238N,652 include: 1. Decoding Function: The IC can decode a 3-bit binary address to one of the eight outputs. Each output corresponds to one unique combination of the address inputs (A0, A1, and A2). 2. Multiplexing/Demultiplexing: The IC can be used as a multiplexer by using the address inputs to select one of the eight data inputs (D0-D7) based on the combination of the address signals. Conversely, it can be used as a demultiplexer by using the address inputs to select one of the eight output lines. 3.
