Description (v) Features

This IC is designed for high-speed CMOS technology and operates on a wide voltage range. Key features of MM74HC138N include: 1. Input Latches: The IC has three input latches (A, B, C) that hold the input values until the enable pin (G2) is activated. This feature allows synchronous decoding of input signals. 2. Three-Bit Input: MM74HC138N accepts a three-bit binary input, represented by pins A, B, and C. This input determines which output line is activated. 3. Enable Inputs: The IC provides two enable inputs - G1 and G2A\G2B. G1 is the active-low enable input, used to enable the decoder. G2A\G2B is a two-input enable that, when activated, overrides the decoding function and forces all outputs to a high impedance state. 4. Decoded Outputs: The IC has eight decoded outputs (Y0-Y7) that correspond to the binary input.
