Description (v) Features
The IC component MAX489EEPD+ is a low power, quad, single-supply, CMOS analog switch developed by Maxim Integrated. It allows for the convenient routing of analog signals in various applications, including portable devices, battery-powered systems, and communication systems. The MAX489EEPD+ offers several key features that make it a desirable choice for analog signal routing. Firstly, it operates on a single power supply voltage ranging from 1.6V to 5.5V, making it compatible with a wide range of systems. This low voltage operation also contributes to its low power consumption, maximizing battery life in portable devices. The IC component is equipped with four normally open (NO) switches, each capable of handling signals up to ±15V. These switches have a low on-resistance of less than 75 ohms, which ensures minimal signal distortion and attenuation. Additionally, the low on-resistance allows for efficient power routing without significant power loss. In terms of performance, the MAX489EEPD+ supports a wide bandwidth of 600kHz, making it suitable for various audio and video applications. It also offers fast switching speeds, with a tON time of only 25ns and a tOFF time of 15ns. These quick switching times enhance the overall responsiveness and efficiency of the analog switching process. Furthermore, the MAX489EEPD+ is constructed using Maxim's proprietary high-density CMOS technology, which ensures low leakage currents and excellent latch-up immunity
