Description (v) Features
The MAX202ECPE+ is an integrated circuit (IC) component designed for use in RS-232 serial communication applications. It is a dual-channel interface driver/receiver that is primarily used for transmitting and receiving data between devices that operate on different voltage levels. One of the key features of the MAX202ECPE+ is its ability to handle both RS-232 and TTL (Transistor-Transistor Logic) voltage levels. It can convert the typically high RS-232 voltage levels (-15V to +15V) to the lower TTL levels (0V to 5V) and vice versa. This enables seamless communication between devices with different voltage requirements, eliminating the need for additional level shifting components. Another important feature of the MAX202ECPE+ is its low-power consumption. It operates with a supply voltage ranging from 4.5V to 5.5V and consumes minimal power, making it suitable for applications where power efficiency is crucial. The MAX202ECPE+ is equipped with two independent driver/receiver channels that can operate in half-duplex mode, allowing bidirectional communication. Each channel includes a line driver, a line receiver, and a shutdown pin for individual channel control, ensuring efficient use of resources. The IC component offers a high data rate of up to 120kbps, making it suitable for various serial communication applications that require fast and reliable data transmission
