Headquartered in Sunnyvale, CA, Spansion Inc. (NYSE: CODE)was a semiconductor company that specialized in flash memory technology. Spansion was recognized for its innovations in non-volatile memory solutions, such as NOR flash memory, NAND flash memory, and other related technologies. These memory products found applications in various industries, including automotive, industrial, consumer electronics, and more. Spansion's technology was widely used in applications that required reliable and high-performance flash memory solutions. However, Spansion no longer exists as an independent entity. In 2015, Cypress Semiconductor Corporation acquired Spansion, creating a merged company known as Cypress Semiconductor.
